Spring always brings that certain feeling with it that we would like to change our surroundings and that we are simply striving for change.
The nice thing about spring is that we can bring nature into our home and so the outside and inside merge more together again.
How I prep our flat for warmer days:
Tidying up and decluttering is the first important step for me. Everything that has accumulated over the winter months, such as burned candles, empty gift packaging, expired vouchers / newsletters or the last remnants of the Christmas decorations. All of this goes into its place or in the trash.
This is also the best time to look at the current decoration and decide whether you still like it, whether it needs to be dusted or you would like to replace it. For example, I gave our Malsjö sideboard in the kitchen a little upgrade!

Spring also means: flowers and blossom branches! These are definitely one of my favorite "styling items", because you can either match them with your furniture or create an eye-catcher with bright flowers like these great Icelandic poppies from www.newmoonblooms.ie .
They not only bring nature and life into a room, but also a certain romance and a good mood!
"I love creating small moments in our apartment, so-called vignettes. Fireplace mantels, sideboards or consoles are particularly suitable for this. With a couple of coffee table books, a vase with fresh twigs and a beautiful mirror, you can create a moment like this very quickly!"

As soon as the warmer days approach, I swap all textiles in our apartment for light, summery fabrics such as linen, muslin or coarse cotton. The color palette should also exude lightness, which is why I prefer neutral and light colors. Heavy fabrics such as velvet, thick wool or fleece blankets and dark textiles disappear in a box for the winter months.

This spring I love to bring splashes of color into our apartment and also into my wardrobe!
In addition, when rearranging and decorating, I really enjoy listening to "sunny" music that puts you in a good mood! If the sun is still shining and you have a few fresh flowers, spring fever comes right away.
"At the moment "peach" is by far my favorite color!"
